Spicy Cilantro Lime Chicken w/ Shaved Brussel Sprouts


The Nourishment
2 Chicken breasts
2 limes
4 tbsp cilantro
3 garlic cloves
1/2 a jalapeño
2 pinches cayenne
1 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1lb brussel sprouts
1tbsp butter or olive oil
Salt and pepper to taste

The Art
1. Preheat oven to 275 degrees.
2. Place chicken breasts in a small oven safe baking dish so that the chicken covers the bottom.
3. Squeeze the juice of 1 lime over the chicken.
4. Mince the garlic and jalapeño and sprinkle on top of the chicken. (Avoid touching the jalapeno directly with your hands. The oil will burn your akin for hours! Hold the jalapeño by the stem wile you dice it to avoid contact.)
5. Chop cilantro and add on top of chicken along with cayenne, paprika, salt, and pepper. 
6. Cover the dish and bake for 1.5-2 hours.
7. Slice the brussel sprouts as thin as possible making about 3-4 slices per sprout.
8. 10 minutes before chicken is done, place sliced sprouts, butter, salt, and pepper into a pan. Sauté until tender, about 8-10 minutes.
9. Once chicken and sprouts are done, plate with half a lime each.
